Finally, I'm in New Haven, where my daughter goes to school. This is only the third time I've been east of Denver and it surprises me how much this part of the world reminds me of Utah...similar trees, birds, climate. Not at all what I expected.
She lives close to Yale and I enjoy walking around the campus. I have always enjoyed walking around campuses...experiencing the architecture, getting a sense of the culture, visiting the museums, art department, music department, libraries. I love it. Now I've done this at an ivy league school! It's different, more massive, more monuments, more history, more pride, far less interesting shops.
Coming from Costa Rica, this is truly a different world.
It's great to see Esther in her new environment...
