Zadar is the ferry terminal to most of the Croatian islands, and we were heading to Cres to visit Jura's parents. The plan was to drop off the car, walk to the ferry terminal, get a ticket, and meat Jura's parents on the other side. We had called ahead to Pingo and Branka to let them know we were on schedule and they had mentioned to us that if we didn't have reservations on the ferry that we likely would not be able to get a ticket. We had no reservations.

So, we find the car rental place to return the car, and nobody's there. They're supposed to be open, but not. We drove over to the ferry terminal to see if we could get tickets, which was no problem at all (yea!). We called the rental place and found that they were now open, and were expecting us. Deb found a place near the the ferry terminal where we could leave our luggage, and that's where I was asked for my passport. That was the moment I remembered putting in in the glove box of the rental. So, I took out the passport before returning the car. Had she not asked for it...well, it would have been a bad thing. Everything worked out perfectly.

We landed on Cres and meet Pingo and Branka, who drove us to there island home.
