Boston Yea...we NEED another tea party! - (85) more edit 2008-06-17 - rec# 198

I had never been in Boston and there's a lot of history there. We took a three day trip to explore. Traveling with Esther and Jura (bf) is liking taking a restaurant tour of the city. I have spent more time in top restaurants this past week than in most of the rest of my life, and if you're going to explore restaurants this is the place. We stayed in Jura's old “house” at Harvard. As it turns out the bell tower there contained dozens of bells that had been taken from Russia pre-revolution. The bells were going to be sent home. The tower was being prepared to extract these antique bells for shipment to the monastery in Russia where they were stolen. New, duplicate bells have been made and will be installed in the tower after the old ones have been extracted. Esther spent two days of her time taking me around the “Freedom Trail”, visiting historic sights and the aquarium. We had a great time together! Jura spent time visiting old professors and friends at Harvard.
