Today was Lizzy's Senior recital. It was fabulous! SHE is fabulous!!! She is a fantastic musician, a fantastic student and just a fantastic human being. I couldn't be more proud. What makes the entire performance so much more incredible is how little support she has received over the past four years from her university, Western Washington University. She had to do it mostly on her own, in spite of the administration at the school. It's been a battle from the beginning and hasn't let up yet. Her final performance on the concert was a very difficult concerto for harp and orchestra. She had to arrange the orchestra, she had to set up the rehearsals. To top it all off the university would not get the parts for the orchestra. She and her boyfriend hand copied all the parts for the orchestra! She just will not let barriers get in her way...even WWU. She is my hero! Somehow we really did right by her. One proud papa.
